Altered Ages is an animated history channel on YouTube. This policy covers this website, email sent to us, and "Altered Ages pipeline", a private tool that reads analytics for the Altered Ages YouTube channel. Questions: contact@alteredages.com.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, and has no forms. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process visitors' IP addresses in its logs to deliver and protect the site.

Email

If you email us, we receive your email address and message. We use them only to reply and delete them when they are no longer needed. Mail to alteredages.com is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail inbox.

Altered Ages pipeline (Google and YouTube data)

Altered Ages pipeline is used only by the owner of the Altered Ages channel, to read that channel's own data. It is not offered to the public, and it does not access any other person's Google account.

• Access requested: read-only access to YouTube (youtube.readonly) and YouTube Analytics (yt-analytics.readonly). It cannot upload, edit, delete or post anything.
• Data read: the channel's video details and statistics, and aggregate analytics reports such as views, watch time, audience retention and traffic sources. YouTube Analytics does not identify individual viewers.
• Use: to understand how the channel's videos perform and to plan and improve future videos. Extracts may be analysed with AI services used by the channel owner (such as Anthropic's Claude API) solely for that purpose.
• Not done: the data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone else.
• Storage and deletion: data is stored on the channel owner's own computer and deleted when no longer needed for the channel, or on request.

Altered Ages pipeline's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Altered Ages pipeline uses YouTube API Services. By authorising it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; see also the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be revoked at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
